The King & I
I have been cast in the featured role of the Kralahome, Prime Minister, in the Opera Australia production of the King and I. It is 35 years since I was last in the Kingdom of Siam in the record breaking London Palladium production of the King & I starring the late Yul Brynner. I played the young lover Lun Tha in that production but alas age has caught up with me hence the more mature aged role. I will perform for the first time at the Sydney Opera House and Melbourne’s Princess Theatre so that is two more I can cross off my bucket list. I am looking forward very much to some confronting scenes with Anna Leonowens played by Australian star Lisa McCune. Season dates are in my Gig Guide
