‘Rise’ – The Movie
Have not posted for far too long but have been touring for much of the year with The King & I which was a memorable experience, for the joy of at last performing at the Sydney Opera House, Princess & Lyric theatres, and working with a wonderful cast including Lisa McCune, Lou Diamond Phillips & Teddy Tahu Rhodes. I was also thrilled to received the Helpmann Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
Last month saw the release in 44 cinemas across Australia & NZ of the feature film ‘Rise’ in which I play a severely disabled prisoner ‘Fung’. It has just about completed its cinematic run but there is a Q&A following a screening of the film at the Riverside Theatre Parramatta in Sydney on Feb 2 2015 after which the film will be released on DVD. I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Merry Xmas & great fun New Year. Here’s hoping that 2015 sees many dreams fulfilled and the world a better place.
